- The Walls member has completed work on his debut solo LP.
Sam Willis will release his first solo full-length this November.
Willis is best known for being one-half of Walls, the Kompakt-affiliated duo who have spent the past few years crafting ambient house and techno from their London base. The forthcoming album, titled Winterval, will be released via Half Machine Records, and sees Willis stretch out across eight tracks, most of which, according to a press release, are steeped in the "analogue sounds of classic house and techno" and combined with Willis's penchant for "experimental and hypnotic" sound design.
Alongside his work as part of Walls, the Englishman has put music to wax for a number of labels under several monikers (Allez-Allez and Snoretex among them) since debuting in the late '00s, providing 12-inches for Kickboxer, Rvng Intl. and Buzzin Fly.
