  • Oliver Siebert, AKA Oliver $, will be making appearances in four Australian states later this month. Siebert, born and bred in Berlin, has been releasing house music since 2005 when his first 12-inch dropped on Grand Petrol Recordings. His solo releases and collaborations with Jesse Rose on Made To Play helped pave the way to international recognition, however it was 2011's controversial "Doin' Ya Thing" on Rose's sub-label Play It Down which, for better or for worse, which really made Siebert a hot topic in the house music scene. The two recently completed an 18-date world tour to promote their "Sample Pleasures" mixtape, which has also resulted in two vinyl releases of the same name. Siebert is no stranger to Australia, with this being his third trip out in four years. The tour will begin on July 27th in Brisbane for a Dirty Deeds party at Electric Playground. The following evening he'll be appearing at the Prince Bandroom for a Homecoming gig, before heading to Adelaide for a show at White Rabbit on August 3rd. The final leg will be in Sydney on the 4th at Chinese Laundry.
