  • Forest Festival 2012 will take place in Lede, Belgium from August 3rd to 4th. As the name would suggest, Forest Festival takes place in a Forest in the village of Papagem in Lede. The festival is a "two day celebration of creative music" with four different performance areas and stages, each presented by a different label/entity/group each night. The lineup looks to be a mix of primarily house and drum & bass with other genres thrown in here and there. Belgian label We Play House will have a stage in the Forest Area on the Friday night, featuring former Panorama Bar resident Prosumer as well as FCL, the collaboration between San Soda and label boss Red D. Meanwhile on the Saturday, the Forest Area will be helmed by local promoter Ketaloco, headlined by Dutch DJ Patrice Baumel. In terms of drum & bass, Ghent group Steam will take over the Swamp area on Friday night, headlined by dBridge's former group Bad Company along with UK duo Octane & DLR. Meanwhile Saturday night on the same stage will be curated by Soul:r, featuring label head Marcus Intalex, hotly-tipped Mancunian Dub Phizix, Samurai boss Presha, and Lynx. The final stages have yet to be announced. The festival site will allow for camping from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon of the August weekend.
