- Due out in September on Smalltown Supersound, the album features guest appearances from members of Liquid Liquid.
San Francisco outfit Tussle will release their next album, Tempest, in September on Smalltown Supersound.
Tussle are a live quartet that make angular, post-punk inspired dance tunes. They've been around for a decade or so, but took a few years off after their last album, Cream Cuts. Tempest comes four years after that LP, and was recorded with a different lineup: the band has a new drummer, and Optimo member JD Twitch recorded the album with them in Glasgow. And he's not the only interesting guest appearance: Dennis Young of Liquid Liquid, one of Tussle's most important progenitors, contributed overdubs from his studio in New Jersey (vocalist Sal P appears too, in sample form). You can hear a track from the album here on the label's SoundCloud.
