  • This Saturday, the German techno veteran Woody will celebrate his 40th birthday with a warehouse party in Mitte. Woody is one of the most enduring figures in Germany's techno scene, having gotten his start at Munich's Babalu Club before moving on to Planet and E-Werk, where he was a resident. He's had his hand in numerous other exploits over the years, from his open-air series Electronic Waves to his record label, Fumakilla. This Saturday he'll headline his own birthday at a warehouse space next to Tape Club, which will reportedly hold a few more events before being demolished later this year. Joining Woody are a cast of Berlin-based DJs, including Red Rack'em, Schoppen Wittes, Radio Slave and local favorite (and Word & Sound founder) Marc Schneider. The night's live set will come from Vadim Svoboda.
