System Of Survival's debut album, Needle And Thread, is due for release on BPitch Control in August.
Natives of Italy, Alex Carpentieri and Pietro De Lisi have been working together for some two decades, and are longtime residents at DC10's Circoloco party in Ibiza. They've produced a steady stream of 12-inches over the years, and in 2008 launched their own label, Ianus71. According to the press release, Needle And Thread was originally intended to be released on Ianus71, but after hearing it during a car ride across Ibiza, Ellen Allien decided she wanted for her own label, Bpitch Control. Sunny, melodic house music is the theme throughout Needle And Thread, helped along by a couple of guest vocalists, including Hercules & Love Affair collaborator Shaun J. Wright. The album will be available on CD and in digital formats.
