- The Canadian producer's next LP features guest appearances from Mathew Jonson, Danuel Tate and Dandy Jack.
Scott Monteith, better known Deadbeat, is ready to release his eighth studio album, simply titled Eight.
The LP will come out on BLKRTZ, the label Monteith launched last year. It shows him continuing to refine the lurching style of dubby techno that's been his calling card for over a decade. He's joined in the studio by fellow Berlin-based Canadian Mathew Jonson, plus Cobblestone Jazz member Danuel Tate. Chilean minimal mainstay Dandy Jack makes an appearance as well. The album features all previously unreleased tracks, except for "Horns of Jericho," which came out this month on Dandy Jack's Rebirth EP. It will be available in September on triple-vinyl as well as digitally and on CD.
