2562, Jam City, Ryat and Luke Vibert will play the new weekly party during August.
The Upfront Project is a new weekly club night based out of Vauxhall venue Lightbox.
If the lineups for the opening month of the new Friday night party are anything to go by, The Upfront Project will focus largely on artists from across the bass music canon. The series officially began this past Friday night, with a free party that featured Paul Woolford, FunkinEven and Commix among others, although things will begin in earnest this coming Friday 3rd August. Various forms of 130 BPM club music should be expected when headliner 2562 steps up. The Dutch DJ, producer and recent RA feature subject will be joined by Bristol's Appleblim, up-and-comer Darling Farah, Magicbag's Youandewan, and 2nd Drop's gabba lover DjRUM. Further appearances come from Guy Andrews, Tessela, South London Ordnance and a special TBA guest (a theme throughout all of their August parties).
The following week (August 10th) Ben Westbeech, Jam City, Lando Kal, Mumdance, Helix and Funkystepz (among others) all journey to the south London club. Brainfeeder's Ryat performs live on August 17th, with further sets coming from Ikonika, Cooly G and Ifan Dafydd. The final party of the month meanwhile—Friday 31st August—sees Cornish Planet Mu affiliate Luke Vibert headline, with dEbruit, Darkstar, Kryptic Minds, Auntie Flo and Lakker completing a somewhat more leftfield lineup that in previous weeks.
Tickets for all the upcoming Upfront Project events can be purchased through RA Tickets.
