The Massachusetts DJ and B-Tracks member will replace DJ Die Young at the Boston-area party.
John Barera will be the new resident for Massachusetts Thursday night series Make It New.
Make It New has been running for almost eight years now at Middlesex Loung in Cambridge, booking a range of artists from local talent to international names like John Roberts, Roman Flügel, and Michael Mayer. The previous Make It New resident DJ Die Young will be retiring from his long-held position to be replaced by Barera. He's one of the New England city's fastest-growing talents, thanks to his label Supply Records and his collaborations with Soren Jahan (AKA René Audiard) as B-Tracks, a duo that's received accolades from the likes of Hard Wax (not to mention RA) and recently played at Berlin's Panorama Bar. The first party with Barera as a resident will take place on Thursday July 5th. Entry is free.
