  • Phantom Ghost are ready to release their next full-length, Pardon My English. The German duo, made up of Thies Mynther and Dirk von Lowtzow, stick out a bit on the Dial roster: instead of deep house and techno tinged with melancholy, they make theatrical indie pop with an air of dry wit. Pardon My English is their second album on the Berlin/Hamburg label, after 2009's aptly titled Thrown Out of Drama School. It shows them playing instruments like the vibraphone, cello and prepared piano and covering topics ranging from prostitutes to Schopenhauer. They also include a cover of "Smashing New York Times," a song Charles Strouse and Lee Adams wrote for the Broadway musical Applause. Tracklist 01. Pardon My English I 02. Universal Prostitution 03. Dr. Schaden Freud 04. Dreams of Plush 05. Pardon My English II 06. In the Tittery 07. Phantom of the Operatte 08. Pardon My English III 09. Smashing New York Times 10. Three Limericks For Liberty Dial will release Pardon My English on June 15th, 2012.
