  • Ewan Pearson and Sasse Lindblad will launch a new label in July called Machinists. Pearson and Sasse have a lot of experience working together: they share the same studio in Berlin, and have shared credit on everything from remixes of club tracks to production work for Tracey Thorn. Machinists is their second label venture after Misericord, an understated imprint that put out four records between 2008 and 2010. According to a press release, the new label is all about contemporary club sounds made with analog production methods ("Detroit neoclassicism and love letters to the old-school are strictly verboten"). The first release comes from Swedish producer Markus Enochson, who allegedly first caught Pearson's ear with his 2008 collaboration with Subliminal Kid, These Won't Put Me Down. Entitled B, the EP will be available digitally and on vinyl, with one extra digital-only track called "Tjohoo." Tracklists A1 Bohoo A2 Boy B Bad Choice Machinists will release B on July 2nd, 2012.
