- The first names have been announced for this year's New Forms Festival, taking place in Vancouver from September 13th through 16th. New Forms is a boutique festival that presents electronic music alongside audio-visual art and exhibitions. What's been released of the 2012 lineup reflects a similar sensibility to past editions: names announced so far include Actress, Kode9, Daniel Bell, Washington DC's Beautiful Swimmers, Parisian artist Pilooski and Veronica Vasicka of Minimal Wave. More than a dozen AV and exhibition artists have been confirmed as well. This year's festival will take place at Great Northern Way Campus. More names will be confirmed in the news few months.
