  • Chicago house jock Jamie 3:26 will visit Australia for the first time to play three shows this June. Jamie is one of the Windy City's long-serving purveyors of house, having been DJing since the mid-'80s. He has played and held residencies at classic Chicago venues like The Powerhouse, Boom Boom Room, The Basement and, more recently, Smart Bar and Zentra. His style is closely linked to the sounds of the Muzic Box (3:26 is a direct reference to the club's address) and Ron Hardy. Since collaborating with the legendary Chip E. on a remix back in 2007, he has released two edits records on Partehardy, a label initially set up by Hardy's nephew to press tracks edited and played by Hardy himself at the Muzic Box. Although Jamie has been a Chicago staple for more than two decades, his time spent outside of the USA has been fairly limited. This will be his debut appearance in Australia, which will take place over one weekend in June. Melbourne is first up on the 8th, where he will play a Pyramix party at The Croft Institute alongside Inkswel, Benny Badge and Japeye. The following night, Boom Boom will be hosting the gig at an undisclosed warehouse space with the Paradise Lost crew, Daniel Lupica and Magda Bytnerowicz all taking to the decks as well. The final show on June 10th is at Sugar in Adelaide. Tickets to the Sydney party can be picked up here on RA.
