  • Jacques Renault will make his way back to Australia for his third tour with Future Classic this June. Since his contribution to the RVNG of the NRDS edit series back in 2008, along with the almost simultaneous release of Brooklyn Club Jam as one half of production duo Runaway, Renault's profile in the international disco and house scene has risen rapidly. His reputation as a DJ in New York, however, has been a long-term affair, beginning when he moved from his hometown of Washington, DC in 2002. The combination of his talents both behind the decks and in the studio have earned Renault numerous trips to Europe, Asia and Australia, while his music has appeared on labels like I'm A Cliché, Mule Musiq and Let's Play House. On The Prowl, the imprint he runs with Runaway partner Marcos Cabral, has been one of his main modes of output, with nearly a dozen of his records being released through the label in under three years. This trip to Australia, his fourth in total, will be spread over five dates, beginning on June 1st in Sydney. Renault will be playing Future Classic's Vivid Live party at the Sydney Opera House alongside German microhouse producer Isolee and local live artist Flume. Perth get their turn on June 3rd at The Bakery, before he heads to Melbourne on the 8th for Animals Dancing at The Mercat Basement, also featuring Tom Trago and residents Tornado Wallace, Andee Frost and Otologic. Saturday the 9th of June is at Sugar in Adelaide, and the final stop is at Bowler Bar in Brisbane on June 10th. Tickets to the Melbourne show can be purchased here on RA.
