  • Stroboscopic Artefacts will release Stellate 02, the second in a series of experimental compilations, in June. The new instalment will follow-up the first double-10-inch set from March which featured label boss Lucy, Perc, Kevin Gorman, and Borful Tang. This time the reins are handed to Italian duo Dadub, Swedes Roll The Dice, and new additions to the label's roster in the form of Italians Plaster and LA's Silent Servant, whose tracks are a collaboration with Luis Farfan. Stellate 2 will have a unified focus this time, concerning itself with "the process of looping, using both digital and analogue tools to layer ideas, distort perceptions and filigree finely textured surfaces." While Stroboscopic Artefacts have never been much of a conventional techno label, most of the tracks on Stellate 2 are ambient or drone-based, with little to no percussive elements (though there are exceptions). The physical product will consist of two transparent 10-inch records and prints packaged in a round tin, limited to 300. Tracklist A1 Dadub - Endless A2 Dadub - Refraction B1 Silent Servant & Luis Farfan - La Negra Luna B2 Silent Servant & Luis Farfan - No Te Debia Amar C1 Roll The Dice - Ritenuto C2 Roll The Dice - Bad Tempered D1 Plaster - Udis D2 Plaster - Seber Stroboscopic Artefacts will release Stellate 02 on June 14th, 2012 on vinyl and July 27th, 2012 on digital.
