  • London author and DJ Bill Brewster will play his first shows in Australia this month. With three decades of experience in the UK scene under his belt, Brewster has been involved in just about every facet of dance music imaginable. Having run a couple of record labels, hosted numerous club nights and parties, has held a six-year residency at fabric since its opening night and edited Mixmag USA, his contributions to dance music culture are hard to match. Along with co-author Frank Broughton, he wrote the iconic books Last Night A DJ Saved My Life and How To DJ (Properly). The pair also started the DJ History website. Despite the decades of activity in the scene, this will be Brewster's first ever visit out to Australia. Melbourne is first up on May 18th, where he'll be appearing at New Guernica for an Inside Out party. Local supports include Otologic, Andee Frost and Simon TK. The following night he'll be spinning in Sydney at One22 for CO-OP's third birthday celebrations alongside Belgian house producer San Soda. Tickets to both Sydney can be purchased here on RA.
