  • The first Garden Party of 2012 will take place on 6th May at The Faversham. The gathering this coming Sunday is the first of three Garden Parties taking place this summer at the event's regular home, The Faversham in Leeds. As we announced at the start of last month, RA's new VS events series will touch down at the Garden Party on June 3rd, with Roman Flügel playing back-to-back with John Talabot for an extended session. (Full details of that one will be announced shortly.) As for this weekend's soiree, the house-heavy lineup across the terrace and main room (the party migrates indoors later on) features Chicago's DJ Sneak at its summit, no doubt delivering a set that will lean heavily on the funk and filters. Breakthrough London-based producer Huxley, low-key Rush Hour artist BNJMN and Hessle Audio's Ben UFO will all be representing new school UK sounds, joined in the main spaces by PBR streetgang, Jay Kilka, David Martin and Christian Maiden. Mono_cult will host the Blue Lounge, with Matt Long, Paul Kaminski and Brad Mercer all DJing. The Gimp Room, meanwhile, will be overseen by Afro Coalition and Nest and feature sets from Euan Mitchell, Dean Creole, Sy Legg, Hugo Blackburn, Abel and Dudley Strangways. Tickets to Technique & Asylum presents the Garden Party are still available to purchase from RA Tickets.
