A new label run by Japan's DJ Nobu will launch in May with an album from Iori.
DJ Nobu will launch a new label next month called Bitta.
The RA podcaster and Chiba-based DJ has quite a reputation in his own country, and has brought DJs like Marcel Dettmann, Steffi, and Margaret Dygas to his parties in Japan. In addition to his own night called Future Terror, Nobu will now act as label boss for a new techno imprint that will launch with a compilation from Okinawa producer Iori on May 9th.
Nexus will be Iori's first full-length release, and will be composed of a mixture of previously released and new tracks. Tracks like "Spaciotemporal" and "Magnetic" have appeared on Phonica and Prologue, respectively, while "Space Intro," "Draw, and "Plateau" are new and exclusive to the disc. "Draw" will also be released as a vinyl single sometime after the album comes out, while Nexus will be exclusive to the CD format. The label will be celebrated with a launch party on May 26th at Liquidroom featuring Nobu, Iori, Gonno, Kuri, and Hakura.
