Modeselektor's 50 Weapons imprint have announced details for a new album by Phon.o.
Black Boulder is German producer's third album overall, but his first for 50 Weapons, and comes a full seven years after his last LP, Burn Down the Town, which came out on Shitkatapult in 2005. Stylistically, it follows in the same vein as his recent 12-inches for 50 Weapons, blending elements of techno and bass music, often with an atmospheric sheen. Most of the tracks are previously unreleased, barring last year's single "ABAW723," as well as a new "album version" of "Slavemode." The album will also feature two vocal guest spots from Bodi Bill's Pantasz and Tunde Olaniran.
