Osunlade gets In The House

- The Greek-based DJ and producer will release a mix this month on Defected Records before playing the label's next party in London.
- Osunlade has mixed Defected Records' next In The House compilation, which will be released later this month. A US native based in Greece, Osunlade has been very prolific over the past decade or so, putting out six full-length albums, almost 40 EPs and many more remixes. His intensely spiritual approach to house music has featured on labels like Strictly Rhythm, Soul Jazz and his own Yoruba Records, which in 2011 put out what he's called his last-ever house LP, Pyrography. Outside of music he's still active as an artist: late last year he published a photo book that documents his experiences at Burning Man. For Defected, Osunlade has prepared a sprawling session over two discs and 27 tracks. Along with a number of his own productions (including last summer's popular Âme remix of "Envision") the set works in material from the likes of Christian Prommer, GummiHz, Kevin Saunderson and Tucillo. Among the other selections is exclusive music from Yoruba artist Afefe Iku. Following the release of this In The House mix, Osunlade is confirmed to DJ at the next edition of Defected's In The House party in London on Saturday, April 21st. That one takes place at Ministry of Sound, and Osunlade will share the bill with Dimitri From Paris and Noir, among others. Find tickets to the party here on RA. Tracklist CD1 01.
