  • Austrian experimental label Editions Mego will launch a new sub-label, Recollection GRM. According to an interview with Editions Mego head Peter Rehberg, Recollection GRM has been formed solely to make "works from the vast archives of Groupe de Recherches Musicales (GRM)" available on vinyl. GRM was a theoretical and experimental group formed by Pierre Schaffer, a French composer and writer who rose to prominence in the decades following World War II, going on to have a great impact on the study and development of modern acoustics and electronic music. Recollection GRM's fist release will be a reissue of Schaffer's only exclusively electronic work, Le Trièdre Fertile, an LP recorded in the mid-'70s that would go on to become one of the most significant pieces to emerge from the musique concréte movement. Tracklist 1.1. Plutôt Dynamique (Étude Banale) 1.2. Plutôt Harmonique 1.3. Plutôt Mélodique 1.4. Moins Banal (Interlude, Ou Impromptu) 2.1. Toccata et Fugue 2.2. Baroque (Second Interlude) 2.3. Strette Recollection GRM will release Le Trièdre Fertile on June 5th, 2012.
