  • Justin Martin is ready to release his first artist album, Ghettos & Gardens. Martin is one of the key forces behind Dirtybird, the widely-loved San Francisco label and party series. Together with his brother Christian, his friend Worthy and his mentor Barclay Crenshaw (better known as Claude VonStroke), he helped devise their first free parties in Golden Gate Park. When Dirtybird developed into a label in 2005, he was on the first EP with Sammy D. In the seven years since then he's played a big role in defining the label's signature sound, not least by adding a twist of UK bass to their good-humored house style. Ghettos & Gardens features all previously unreleased material, including a new version of "Lezgo," Martin's 2011 track with Ardalan. Other guest appearances come from up-and-coming trio PillowTalk and Dirtybird newcomer Leroy Peppers. Tracklist 01. Hood Rich 02. Don't Go 03. Ghettoes & Garden 04. Butterflies 05. Goldie – Kemistry (Justin Martin remake) 06. French Kisses 07. Ruff Stuff 08. Molokini 09. Lezgo VIP (Justin Martin vs. Ardalan) 10. The Gurner (Justin Martin vs. Pillow Talk) 11. Night Calling 12. Riding Spaceships (Justin Martin vs. Leroy Peppers) 13. Ladybug Dirtybird will release Ghettos & Gardens on May 22nd, 2012.
