  • Project: Mooncircle will celebrate its 10th anniversary tomorrow when it hosts a label party at Gretchen. The Berlin-based imprint has been putting out hip-hop influenced electronic music since it launched in 2002. Their showcase at Gretchen features much the same fare with a lineup of live sets topped by American producer Mike Slott. Other live acts include many of the label's leftfield beats producers such as Robot Koch, fLako and Long Arm. Among the DJs on the bill are label boss Gordon Gieseking as well as Paul Cooper, AKA Mr. Cooper, whose releases on Project: Mooncircle have been more experimental in nature. The milestone will also be celebrated with the launch of a 32-track box set of four vinyl LPs, entitled 10th Anniversary Compilation. It features productions from all of the live acts playing on Saturday, including a downbeat collaboration between Mike Slott and New York vocalist Diane Badie, which will be Slott's first appearance on the label.
