The Flaming Lips headline Parklife 2012

- More than 100 artists have been announced for the seven-stage festival in Manchester.
- Parklife Weekender have announced the lineup for their 2012 festival in Manchester, taking place on the 9th and 10th of June. Now in its third year running, Parklife Weekender is a seven-stage event at Platt Fields that's put on in part by the people behind The Warehouse Project. Programming runs the gamut from household names to underground favorites. This year the main stage will host The Flaming Lips, Dizzee Rascal and Kelis among others, while the likes of Justice, Annie Mac, Pendulum and Erol Alkan play in the Metroplex Arena. More niched sounds will emanate from the festival's other stages. On the Saturday, Pearson Sound, Jackmaster and Ben UFO will share the Thrasher stage. The Wax:On stage follows on a similar tip the next day with Joy Orbison, Maya Jane Coles, Julio Bashmore and Claude VonStroke. Crosstown Rebels have their own corner of the festival with Damian Lazarus and some of the usual suspects. Kaluki, Hospitality, Chibuku and Now Wave will all host stages as well. Other highlights include Buraka Som Sistema, Tensnake, Mount Kimbie, The Field and Soul Clap.
