- Tirk has another psychedelic LP by Richard Norris in the pipeline.
This March, Richard Norris will release another album as Time and Space Machine called Taste the Lazer.
Norris is what you might call a jack of all trades. Since the early '80s he's gotten his feet wet as a producer, a music journalist (for NME among others), a DJ and a label manager. He's probably best known as a member of electronic trio The Grid, but he's also made tracks with Erol Alkan (as Wizard's Sleeve) and Throbbing Gristle founder Genesis P. Orridge, written Paul Oakenfold's biography and worked on a few different projects with his friend Joe Strummer.
Time and Space Machine is a one-man psychedelic project Norris debuted a few years ago, and Taste the Lazer is its second album so far. Norris has this to say about the LP: "I've been thinking more about how the record is going to sound live, when the five piece live Time and Space Machine band hits gigs and festivals next year. The result is a looser, more played record, with tracks like 'Black Rainbow' typifying the sound—hypnotic, motorik, psychedelic grooves and sounds that will be stretched, twisted, expanded on stage."
