- Back To Basics will celebrate their 20th anniversary this Saturday at Village Underground. In truth there's little we can add in the way of tribute to the long-serving Leeds club night that wasn't already said in our recent Oral History. The London leg of their 20th birthday celebrations is co-hosted by 2020 Vision and features a mixture of veterans and newer talent, with Andrew Weatherall, a regular guest at the party since the very beginning, being offered a chance to stretch out his legs with a three-hour set. Basics resident and 2020 Vision boss Ralph Lawson will be bringing a box of Basics classics with him for his themed set, while Chris Duckenfield, another long-time associate of the party, will also appear. Representing the newer breed of Basics and 2020 names will be Subb-an (playing live) and Basics resident Burnski. Jonny Cade and Danny Raper provide the night's warm-up.
