- The Traum sub-label will release the Manchester producer's first album next month.
English ambient artist Empyrean is ready to release his first artist album, Sans Semblance.
Currently based in Salford in Manchester, Empyrean is a 19-year-old artist with an electro-acoustic style of ambient production. His music recalls groups like Boards of Canada, with its hazy tones, gentle broken beats and scattered bits of field recording—a style that makes him a perfect fit for Zaubernuss, Traum Schallplatten's ambient-leaning sub-label. Sans Semblance is the result of three years spent experimenting with Ableton and Reason while studying audio technology at the University of Salford. It will be his first record to see official release.
