  • Leisure System will throw their second London party at Corsica Studios next Saturday, October 22nd. Run by Ned Beckett (DJ N>E>D), Sam Barker (Voltek) and Michail Stangl (Area Boy), Leisure System have been throwing parties at Berghain in Berlin for the past three years, always booking diverse casts of DJs and live acts that break from the club's usual diet of house and techno. "We've always tried to strike a balance between futuristic ideas and something that connects to the history of dance music," Barker told us last spring. "We like to explore new patterns on the dancefloor, even if it means taking a risk and challenging the audience." The party next weekend will mark the launch of their new record label, Leisure System Records, and will feature some of the series' North American friends, namely Machinedrum, who played their first party in London, and San Francisco's Lazer Sword, who appeared at their most recent gig in Berlin. Also on board is Quebecois house artist Jacques Greene and American dubstep duo Nguzunguzu. Leisure System residents Puzzle and Barker round off the bill. Tickets to Leisure System at Corsica Studios are available here on RA.
