  • An exhibition featuring the works of Alan Oldham, AKA DJ T-1000, will open at Berlin's Rotation Boutique on Saturday 22nd October. Detroit's Alan Oldham is more readily associated with his techno excursions as DJ T-1000 but has been producing record sleeves since back in 1987, the first of which was for Rythim Is Rythim's "Nude Photo." He's since gone on to design artwork for hundreds of releases, including labels like Plus 8, New Religion, KMS, Third Ear, Retroactive, Transmat and, most predominantly, Djax-Up-Beats. Beyond Djax 2: Monochrome will feature over 30 new pieces from Oldham, described as "pop-art inspired, Detroit Techno sci-fi visions" that are almost exclusively done in black-and-white. The exhibition runs from October 22nd until December 31st out of Rotation Boutique in Mitte. Oldham will be providing the soundtrack to the proceedings, DJing under his new Detroitrocketscience guise. Berlin's Chrome will provide the warm-up.
