- The two dubstep producers get spaced out on their first album for Tectonic.
Jack Sparrow and Ruckspin will release a collaborative album next month under the name Author.
Both halves of the duo are established dubstep artists: Ruckspin, AKA Dom Howard, has released a slew of solo records and is a member of the ensemble Submotion Orchestra, while Jack Sparrow is fast becoming a staple of Pinch's esteemed Tectonic Recordings, who put out his debut album Circadian last year and will be releasing Author's self-titled debut. Their collaborative work is decidedly different from their solo output, with less club-inspired arrangements and an emphasis on live performance. To get a feeling for Author's sound, listen to this recent live set from Eiger Studios in Leeds. The upcoming album will be available digitally and on CD.
