  • Donato Dozzy will travel to the US for four parties starting next Friday in New York. Dozzy's career in music stretches back twenty years and has included DJ residencies at Brancaleone in his native Rome as well as Berlin's Panorama Bar; he's also become a fixture between the Funktion One stacks of Japan's celebrated music festival, Labyrinth. Aside from his penchant for extended sessions behind the decks, the past decade has seen him release a prolific output of distinctively hypnotic techno productions, most recently on labels like Time To Express, Further Records (which released his debut long-player last summer) and Prologue. He also operates the Aquaplano imprint with his production partner Nuel, who will be making his North American debut alongside Dozzy at two of these upcoming gigs and who also has an album in the works for Further. This stateside trek will bring Dozzy back to a few parties he's played on previous visits to the country. First up is a trip back to the Bunker in New York on Friday, where he'll take over the back room for eight hours alongside Nuel. The Aquaplano duo will then head to Pittsburgh to take part in the city's second annual VIA festival: there, they'll be joined by Sutekh at an official afterparty and celebration of the local Humanaut crew's sixth birthday. After that, Dozzy will return to New York to make another appearance at the Monday-night Deep Space party with Francois K. The tour winds down with an extended set in Denver the following Saturday, location TBA.
