  • Minilogue will be touching down in Australia to headline December's Subsonic festival outside Sydney. Having made its debut in 2009, Subsonic is a relative newcomer amongst the many electronic music festivals held throughout the Australian summer, but has already become renowned as one of the country's most unique electronic music events. Boutique in nature and held in a tucked-away bushland setting, Subsonic has, in the past, catered to a wide variety of tastes, though with a clear focus on house and techno. This year is no different, with the tech house of Alexkid, Max Cooper and Frivolous set to join the headliners on the bill. Antix, Egbert, Turmspringer and Channel X round out the international contingent, with a hefty batch of locals still to be added. Once again, Subsonic will take place over three days at the Riverwood Downs Mountain Resort in the Barrington Tops National Park, about three hours north of Sydney by car. To get you in the mood, the festival's organisers will be hosting a party celebrating the lineup announcement this Saturday, with Simon Baker and Boris Brejcha both set to appear. Tickets to that one, which is taking place at converted warehouse space The Whitehouse, are available here on RA.
