  • Interdimensional Transmissions will host Claude Young in Detroit on Saturday, September 17th. A Detroit native now living in Tokyo, Young's stateside gigs (or even appearances anywhere else around the world) have been rare in recent years, and he hasn't put out new music under his own name in half a decade. In last month's interview with RA's Todd L. Burns, Young revealed details of his new collaborative project with Takasi Nakajima, entitled Different World; one of the duo's tracks, "Think Twice" was used by Marcel Fengler in his Berghain 05 mix CD from earlier in the summer. A Detroit gig last month was cancelled, so aside from his set at Movement Festival in May, this is Young's first headlining performance in Detroit in years. He'll share the decks with former production partner Anthony 'Shake' Shakir, along with fellow Detroit locals BMG and Erika. It's a loft party—location TBA—so interested guests will have to contact the infoline to get all the necessary details.
