  • Later tonight, Berghain will unveil Kubus, an unseen section of its property in Friedrichshain. Though it's unclear how the space will be used in the future, tonight's event is an exhibit featuring artwork by Berghain and Ostgut's staff. Despite their frosty reputations, the men and women behind Berlin's most popular club are an artistic bunch; Sven Marquadt, the most notorious of the doormen, sidelines as a photographer (and has shot many of Ostgut Ton's press photos). More than 40 artists will display their work at the exhibit, which runs until August 26th. After 10:00 PM, the action will move upstairs to Panorama Bar floor for a vernissage party featuring Brett Knacksen, Stereon and live sets from Rummelsnuff, Adam Wonder and Shambhu & The True Love Hearts. Entry is free, and begins at 7:00 PM (4:00 PM from Friday through the 26th).
