  • Richard Fearless revives his Death in Vegas project with Trans-Love Energies, due out next month. After his 2004 Satan's Circus LP Fearless moved to New York, took up film and photography and set up the band Black Acid—promptly leaving his Death In Vegas legacy behind, which he had built up over nearly a decade with partner Tim Holmes. "I'd been doing Death In Vegas solidly since I was at art school," comments Fearless. "Because I was doing the artwork and the videos, it felt like it was taking over my life...I just needed to step away from it, which was at least part of the reason I went to New York." In 2009, however, he returned to London—and his vintage electronic equipment. Trans-Love Energies is the result and features 12 new songs created without Holmes, and Fearless himself lending vocals to the majority of the tracks, supported by Katie Stelmanis from the band Austra. Recorded in Shoreditch but mixed in Michigan, Trans-Love Energies is a reference to the Detroit-based anti-establishment group from the 1960s and packages elements of drone, rock and disco with a retro aesthetic. "Your Loft My Acid" will be the first single from the album, due out on 19th September, a week ahead of Trans-Love Energies's release date. Tracklist 01. Silver Time Machine 02. Black Hole 03. Your Loft My Acid 04. Medication 05. Coum 06. Witch Dance 07. Scissors 08. Drone Reich 09. Lightning Bolt 10. Savage Love Drone will release Trans-Love Energies on September 26th, 2011.
