  • The 19th annual Love Festival will take place at Irvine Lake in California on Saturday, August 20th. Love Fest started out in the early '90s as an underground party series, but has grown into a large-scale touring festival with stops across the west coast and beyond; earlier this summer it took over Las Vegas and, for the 13th year, Hawaii. Its home venue used to be Los Angeles' Sports Arena but this year it will move to Oak Canyon Ranch, a park overlooking Irvine Lake about 40 miles southeast of LA that will be decked out with two large stages. As usual, the lineup is heavy on electro and trance, with Felix Da Housecat and Paul Oakenfold each making their first appearance at the festival with headlining sets. At the Party For The People stage, Felix Da Housecat will be joined by the UK's Funkagenda, longtime New York jock (and Love Fest regular) Junior Sanchez and others, while Oakenfold will command the Freedom Of The Future stage with help from a few more UK acts, including Saved Records boss Nic Fanciulli and Matt Darey. Like all of the festivals thrown by Go Ventures this summer, Love Fest will have free bottled water available for all guests.
