  • Innervisions will play live and co-host a tutorial session at The Roundhouse on 19th and 20th of August. That Friday, Henrik Schwarz, Âme and Dixon will be joining forces with the Israeli designer and architect Ron Arad in a reprisal of their score of 1920s silent horror film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, which they first performed at the the Jetzt Musik Festival in Mannheim last year. The event, entitled "An Evening At the Cabinet Of Dr Caligari", will see the Innervisions collective play live as the film is projected on Arad's "interactive curtain," then once more to their own visual accompaniment after the film is finished. The curtain will remain at The Roundhouse for a month as an art installation. After their Curtain Call showing, Schwarz, Âme and Dixon will take part in Slowpoke London’s Masters In Session series the following morning at the same venue. They will feature alongside the likes of Soul Clap, Coldcut (Jon More), and King Britt. After submitting their un-mastered tracks, a group of selected young producers will work with the artists in the venue's studio space. Each artist will offer assistance based upon their particular expertise; Ben Westbeech, for example, will be sharing his advice and experience on vocal arrangement. A compilation of the tracks recorded on the day will be released by the venue's label later this year. Artists can submit their music through the event's official website until August 6th. Tickets to An Evening At The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari are available here on RA.
