A new party in New York launches with the UK techno artist next month.
Perc will head to the basement of Stay in New York on Friday August 5th to celebrate the release of his debut album and to launch a new party series.
Formally known as Alistair Wells, Perc has been producing raw, industrial-tinged tracks since the early '00s. He operates his own imprint, Perc Trax, while also contributing to like-minded techno labels like CLR and Stroboscopic Artefacts. Last month Perc released his first full-length Wicker & Steel, on Perc Trax, and this New York event will be his first stateside appearance in support of the album. Joining in the fun is Perc's label mates Donor/Truss, who will be playing a live set; NYC local jock Chanski will open. The night's host is Erratic, a new local outfit devoted to "techno in its purest form in an all inclusive environment." To that end, free hand-made graffiti T-shirts will be given away while supplies last.
