  • Apparat will make a live appearance at The Scala on July 25th. The Berliner, AKA Sascha Ring, hits the Kings Cross institution ahead of the release of forthcoming album The Devil's Walk. The full-length is set to come out on the sometimes dance floor-orientated Mute, but this particular night will showcase Ring's recent departure from techno to more ambient sounds. These days, says Ring, he's "more interested in designing sounds than beats." The Devil's Walk, which was many months in the making in the studio, conflates percussion, cello and piano with Apparat's trademark vocals. Promoters Black Atlantic also present UK duo Ghosting Season, previously known as worriedaboutsatan, live on the bill at the 1,000+ capacity venue. Manchester pair Gavin Miller and Thomas Ragsdale debuted their new dance-orientated sound with last month debut's EP Far End of the Graveyard. Tickets for the gig are available here on RA.
