  • East London's Simmer Summer Party hosts Kenny Larkin to celebrate their new bimonthly series at the reformed Basing House on Kingsland Road on Friday July 29th. Larkin has been a prominent figure in the techno scene since the release of his first album, Azimuth, in 1994 and the DJ makes a rare journey to the capital to showcase his back catalogue. East London local Jon Rust, co-founder of Lightworks, and Dalston-based NTS Radio, will open the night. Simmer has traversed through several locations in the borough over the past two years—from studios and basements to lofts—and has presented Lee Foss in 2009, as well as Maya Jane Coles, Matt Tolfrey and Shonky. The Simmer Party has now taken residence at the 300 - 400 capacity Basing House which is replete with loft, outdoor terrace and new Funktion 1 system.
