Milyoo will release his debut album, Archaeology, in December.
As a resident of Lexington, Kentucky, Milyoo grew up in a very different scene from most other electronic producers, and it shows: his music defies easy categorization, weaving between psychedelic house and Brainfeeder-esque bass music. Though he just surfaced in 2010, he quickly found an international foothold, putting out his first records on London labels like WNCL Recordings and the fledgling Opit Records and chalking up a remix by West Norwood Cassette Library. Archaeology features all previously unreleased songs, except for "Daesin," the title track of his debut EP. It will be the first full-length on Opit.
