- The Southport Weekender's SuncéBeat 2 festival will return to Croatia on the weekend of July 29th. The event takes place at The Garden Petrcane, the same venue as The Garden Festival, Electric Elephant and Stop Making Sense. Southport Weekender debuted here last year, venturing overseas for the first time to the pine-tree heavy peninsula near Zadar. This year's bill includes two live acts: British outfit Incognito and Lil' Louis and The World, who will present their classic album Journey with the Lonely 20 years on with live accompaniment. Lil Louis will DJ as well, along with a raft of other house artists, such as Kerri Chandler, Quentin Harris, Theo Parrish and Prosumer. Roughly 2,500 revelers are expected at this year's event, which boasts two outdoor stages (including one beach stage), an indoor nightclub called Barbarella's, terrace bars, lounge areas and seven boat parties on a 150-year-old clipper, "Argonaughty." There is a small campsite next to the venue; alternative accommodation can be found in hotels or rented apartments elsewhere on the island. Tickets to Suncébeat 2 are available here on RA.
