  • This July, Atlantic Jaxx Recording will release Basement Jaxx Vs Metropole Orkest, a collection of the UK duo's collaborative works with the Dutch orchestra. The record features reinterpretations of Basement Jaxx's back catalogue, featuring the Metropole Orkest's sixty-piece orchestra and twenty-voice choir, plus some fixtures of the duo's live shows, such as American singer Lisa Kekaula of "Good Luck." Felix Buxton, one half of the band, and eminent London conductor Jules Buckley have produced the album over the past year, combining a selection of studio recordings and live performances from the collective's first and only performance, which took place in Eindhoven this past February. The album, which also features an original piece by Buxton, is released to coincide with the UK premiere of the collaboration at Barbican Hall. Tracklist 01. Battlement Jaxx 02. Red Alert 03.
