  • Walls will unveil their second album, entitled Coracle, in September. The pair, AKA Alessio Natalizia and Sam Willis, are set to release their second LP less than 18 months after their eponymous debut, which was named "Electronic Album Of The Year" by Mojo and saw the likes of Caribou, The Field and Pantha Du Prince request remixes in its wake. Coracle will reportedly move beyond the guitar-heavy, synth-pop sound of its predecessor; the eight-track September release is said to be much more dance-floor friendly with the duo's trademark soft ambient sounds amplified by Detroit and Chicago influences. The open-ended approach at the heart of the album is signposted by the title of the sixth track on the album, "Ecstatic Truth," so-called in homage to German film director Warner Herzog's talk on the subject of the absence of predetermined meaning and the freedom of audience interpretation. Walls are currently doing the rounds of Europe's many festivals prior to the release of single "Sunporch" on August 29th which precedes the album's unveiling; they take in Trailerpark Festival, Denmark, this month as well as Hamburg's Dockville Festival, Pantiero Festival in Cannes and Nowa Musyka in Katowice next month. You can stream "Sunporch" already here. Tracklist 01. Into Our Midst 02. Heat Haze 03. Sunporch 04. Il Tedesco 05. Vacant 06. Ecstatic Truth 07. Raw Umber/Twilight 08. Drunken Galleon Kompakt will release Coracle on September 26th, 2011.
