Calvi On The Rocks hits the Beach

- Michael Mayer, Brodinski and Busy P join the free beach program at this year's five-day music event.
- Calvi on the Rocks festival will take place in Port de Calvi from the 1st of July through the 6th. For the eighth year in a row, the southern seaside town of Calvi will play host to a collection of indie and electronic artists for its annual music event. The Théâtre De Verdure venue, set at the foot of the town's citadelle will house the week's "Rock" program, with acts that include Hercules & Love Affair, Azari & III, Foals and Apparat playing from 9:00 PM until 2:00 AM each day. Supplementing this, a series of free day parties have been scheduled to take place for the first time this year across four different beaches. Superpitcher and Michael Mayer will be playing together daily as Supermayer with fellow Kompakt duo Pachanga Boys at Chez Tao. Meanwhile, the Diesel Island beach (Plague In Casa) will present a series of showcases with Ed Banger chief Busy P, Nicolas Jaar and dOP. The Kompakt crew will close the festival with Ivan Smagghe and Canadian producer Frivolous on the Wednesday.
