  • Machinedrum will play Densehall #10 at Chez Jacki on Friday 24th June. Since his first release back in 1999, Travis Stewart has become a prominent figure on the US underground scene with his solo project Machinedrum, and more recently as Sepalcure, a collaboration with Praveen Sharma, who's ambient dubstep productions have found a home on Scuba's Hotflush Recordings. His background in acoustic and electronic instrumentation leaves a defined watermark on all his releases, not least with his latest Machinedrum effort, Room(s), an upcoming LP that will mark Stewart's debut on Planet Mu. Having already guested at Densehall last year with Sharma, Stewart returns to Berlin solo for a live performance as Machinedrum. Joining him will be Danish producers Nabo and VKTR from the Copenhagen collective New Folder. Both young artists share with Stewart a grounding in hip hop and experimental sampling. Support from the decks comes from Dense residents DISSCOXX and Area Boy, who is also one of the Leisure System's core members. After holding a residency at Berghain for the last three years, Leisure System's label is soon to launch with a debut EP from Russian producer Pixelord.
