Alex Smoke billed for Highlife Beach Party in Barcelona

- Huntleys & Palmers join the off-Sonar festivities with a free event at El Prat.
- Adding to this week's medley of off-Sonar events, Glaswegian promoters-turned-record label Huntleys & Palmers Audio Club will head to El Prat on Thursday for a showcase of residents and label artists. In Glasgow, the Highlife parties have channeled Huntleys & Palmers' penchant for house and techno into a night that's featured artists like Rebolledo, Mim Suleiman and Esa Williams, culminating in a rare performance from Shackleton at their first birthday event last month. For their party in Barcelona, they've invited fellow Glaswegian Alex Smoke to headline a free 12-hour party at the El Prat, a beach club 15 minutes south of Barcelona. Support comes from Huntleys & Palmers artists Auntie Flo and Alejandro Paz. Launching the H&P imprint this year with his Goan Highlife EP, Indian-based producer Auntie Flo's follow up is set to drop this month, a split with kwaaito artist DJ Sdunkero. Alejandro Paz from Chili is the latest member of the H&P family. His debut release, entitled Callejero, is due later this summer.
