  • Markus Schulz will release another album as Dakota next month, called Thoughts Become Things II. Schulz says he uses his Dakota project to explore very different sounds from the banging club fare he releases under his own name. "It's an entirely separate set of tempos, sound-ranges and FX rules", he says. "To have this studio 'other self' with which to produce this type of music is more important to me than ever." According to a press release, Thoughts Become Things II remains club-friendly while tapping into a range of different styles of big room house. Hints of industrial come through on "Kantowice," while others have a whiff of '80s throwback, such as "Terrace 5am," which recalls the bassline from Donna Summers' "I Feel Love," and "Tears," which makes a nod to Vangelis's Blade Runner theme. The album includes two of Dakota's recent singles: "Sleepwalker" and Sinners; all of the other songs are previously unreleased. Tracklist 01. Gypsy Room 02. Red Star 03. Sleepwalkers 04.
