  • fabric is hosting two special charity nights in May in response to the earthquakes in Japan and New Zealand. The two Thursday night "Don’t Forget" events aim to keep the public eye on the natural disasters and to raise money for charities involved with ongoing relief work in the affected areas, with star-studded lineups that the club claims are among it's biggest ever. All of the artists will forgo their fees, and all profits from the event will be donated to four separate charities: Red Cross Disaster Fund, New Zealand Embassy Christchurch Earthquake Appeal, Red Dot Relief, and The Japan Society Tohoku Earthquake Relief Fund. The first event takes place on May 12th in association with Hospital Records, and packs in a characteristically bass-heavy bill. Goldie, Hatcha, DJ Friction, Cyantific and High Contrast will all perform, alongside newer names like Icicle, Rockwell and Roska, with more artists yet to be announced. Two weeks later, fabric will team up with Safe House Management and Holic for a three-pronged attack of big-room house and techno, headlined by Carl Cox, John Digweed, Adam Beyer, Speedy J, Maya Jane Coles and more.
