  • Atari Teenage Riot will release a new album this June called Is This Hyperreal? It's been 11 years since the electronic punk outfit released their last LP, 60 Second Wipeout, and from the looks of things they haven't changed too much in the meantime; the upcoming album promises to be just as noisy and politically charged as anything they've put out to date. "It is the definite protest album for the Google age," says frontman Alec Empire. "Musically we have taken ATR's signature sound way into the future. The beats have more punch, the basslines are heavier and the songs possess another level of depth." Lyrically, the album explores topics such as human trafficking, class war, Wikileaks and the like. Aside from Empire, ATR's current lineup includes longtime member Nic Endo and a new MC, CX KiDTRONiK. Tracklist 01. Activate 02. Blood In My Eyes 03. Black Flags 04. Is This Hyperreal? 05. Codebreaker 06. Shadow Identity 07. Rearrange Your Synapses 08. Digital Decay 09. The Only Slight Glimmer of 10. Hope 11. Collapse of History Digital Hardcore Recordings will release Is This Hyperreal? on June 20th, 2011
